Week 9 was a productive week for our team! Here's a summary of our accomplishments and key takeaways:
1. Challenge Report Presentation (CH2):
- We received positive feedback on our presentation, but we were advised to slow down the pace slightly and make the information on the slides more concise.
- We discussed the user goals and decided to keep the application focused on career-related goals to maintain the current scope, considering the time constraints.
2. High-Fidelity Prototype Creation (P10):
- We successfully created high-fidelity prototypes for various screens, including login/signup, onboarding, user matching, calendar, messaging, and personalized suggestions.
- Our screens had a minimalistic design, providing a frictionless user experience.
- We tailored separate user flows for students and working professionals to address their specific needs and preferences.
- We incorporated suggestions from our previous evaluations, such as adding a home screen for the calendar and introducing profile picture uploading during onboarding.
3. User Interviews - Prototype Evaluation (PO1):
- We conducted a prototype evaluation with a working professional user.
- The feedback was positive, and the synchronized design elements, such as color schemes and buttons, were well-received.
- We addressed some areas of confusion during onboarding, clarified the process of ranking options, and adjusted the timing for leaving reviews.
4. Action Items for Future Interviews:
- We realized the importance of asking detailed questions about new features and exploring users' preferences in different scenarios.
- To better accommodate users with varying interpretations, we will continue offering multiple methods to achieve the same goal while maintaining simplicity.
Overall, Week 9 was a great success! We iterated on our high-fidelity prototypes based on valuable feedback, and our user interviews provided us with insights that will guide us in refining the application further. We are excited to continue improving our prototype and look forward to the final stages of development. As a team, we are committed to delivering an exceptional user experience for our users.
